Pilbara Development Commission Chief Executive Simon Taylor addressed more than 600 delegates at last week's 2026 Pilbara Summit, delivering a keynote message focused heavily on practical execution, local collaboration, and real-world outcomes for the Pilbara.
Speaking at the Red Earth Arts Precinct in Karratha, Mr Taylor outlined the extraordinary scale of opportunity currently unfolding across the Pilbara, backed by a massive $269 billion pipeline of committed and planned investment.
"Strategy absolutely matters — and we're active contributors to that, particularly within government — but in a place like the Pilbara, people judge us on what actually happens on the ground," Mr Taylor told the sold-out audience.
"For our job, delivery is central at the Commission."
