Hon Wendy Duncan & Stephen WebsterThe past month has been a hectic one in the office and I’m sure all our colleagues around the region are feeling the same in the lead up to Christmas. I have been involved with the initial Pilbara Workforce Alliance Meeting, meeting with Kanyirninpa Jukurrpa, discussions with the National Lifestyle Village in Karratha and Community Safety and Crime Prevention Working Group, Pilbara Underground Power Program Steering Committee, attending the SEGRA Conference in Kalgoorlie, and hosting a luncheon with the Honorable Wendy Duncan MLC and Town of Port Hedland representatives.

Our staff have been busy with the launch of the 2009/2010 round of Royalties for Regions Regional Grants, facilitating and participating in Sundowners across the Pilbara as part of the Outback Business Network, meetings with Telstra Country Wide on Pilbara initiatives and priorities, and continued involvement with many working and reference groups.

I hope you enjoy the new format and feel free to send us through your comments on the e-newsletter or the articles. See you around the region…
